This is a story of boy meets girl. And believe me, this IS a love story. I know you want to know more about this intimate destination wedding in Cascais, but let me start with a little context:
Shenique and Julian met exactly 3 years ago (on the 15th of February, so happy meeting-anniversary to you guys!). They clicked instantly and if they could, they would spend eternity on that date just talking about themselves and getting to know each other. The date unfortunately had to come to an end, but they relationship stayed until today.
They knew they wanted a small wedding so they fell in love with Portugal and decided to do their intimate destination wedding in Cascais.
The wedding was planned by, the one and only, Escape Eventos. If you know me by now, you know that I'm a fan of this team and I love everything they do. They can really capture the day's essence and make it look so beautiful.
It took place at Quinta Vale da Roca, a small villa in Cascais that has an amazing view to Cabo da Roca and the portuguese coast. Believe me, it's breathtaking, and I'm so glad that Shenique and Julian chose this place to have their ceremony. If you're looking to book an intimate destination wedding in Cascais, this is the place you should go to. Not only is a beautiful villa as well as versatil, so you can decorate it as you'd like, but it also has many rooms to accommodate you and your guests.
When I arrived at the place, Shenique was getting ready in her room with her friends and family members. I got to meet her makeup artist, Yara Lacerda, that did an amazing work. Shenique is already beautiful, but this makeup made her glow, as well as her hairstyle, done by Rafael Marquezine. These two vendors not only were great just by doing their job, but definitely lighted up the room with their good mood.
Then, we went to meet Julian who was a bit more nervous, along his bestman, his sister. I had to speak with their mother and tell her what an amazing job she did. These two human beings are so nice and kind.
When Julian was ready, we went ahead to the place of the ceremony. With the help of their wedding planner, they had their ceremony on a beautiful higher place, decorated with flowers but still very lowkey and minimalistic, and with a breahtaking view to the ocean. This was the perfect spot for an intimate destination wedding in Cascais.
To celebrate their wedding, there was MC JayBee. This guy gave the perfect amount of emotional speeches mixed with his great sense of humor that allowed us all to laugh. The couple had him travelling from London to be the master of ceremony of their day, and it was so worth it!
After Shenique and Julian exchanged their vows, it was time for some photos with their guests and then some alone time. That's when we had the opportunity to take some photos of the newly-wed couple. And didn't they look so cool with the sunglasses?
Shenique was wearing a dress from David's Bridal UK and Julian had a suit from French Eye, and Leonor, the wedding planner, make sure that the flowers and all these small details would fit perfectly in these two.
After the romantic moments, it was time for the real party to begin. They had dinner during sunset and this was filled with games hosted by their one and only MC, speeches and lots lots of laughs. When it was finally night time, the dj turned up the music and it was time to let loose.
Shenique and Julian knew they wanted something different for their wedding, and being fans of dancehall they had a hard time finding a DJ that would meet their expectations for their wedding day. One day, they found DJ Clemente online and it was a perfect match. Everyone had so much fun vibing to some dancehall tunes and he really did an amazing job.
