Eu conheci a Manu e o André pela primeira vez em Amsterdão, onde vivem. Eu estava de visita e tivemos a oportunidade de fazer a sua sessão de noivado.
Fui automaticamente conquistada por eles. A sua história de amor teve início na cidade de Barcelona, onde ambos trabalham, e rapidamente se apaixonaram. Eventualmente, decidiram que era altura de fazer as malas e partir para Amesterdão, para dar começo a um novo capítulo das suas vidas.
After the engagement session, we sat down for drinks, and Manu told me, "What attracted me in your work is that the brides aren’t all the same." She continued, "And believe me, I don’t want to be like every other bride. I want our wedding to be beautiful and super relaxed at the same time." And oh boy, was she right!
As preparações no grande dia
When I arrived at the hotel where Manu was getting ready, I was surprised to find André there too! This couple did not care about superstition. If it weren’t for logistics, they probably would have gotten ready together! Manu was the most relaxed bride ever. "Rita, do you think I can iron my dress on the bed?" she casually asked.
She even did her own makeup. When I asked if it was because she loved doing makeup, she laughed and said, "Oh no, I just thought it might be easier if I did it myself." She almost forgot to use setting spray, but let’s be honest—she was absolutely gorgeous regardless.

Assim que a cerimónia começou, eu já estava lavada em lágrimas. O casamento na Casa Vila Verde teve lugar num sítio encantador. Os convidados foram recebidos com cocktails e águas com sabores, antes de tomarem os seus lugares num jardim lindo junto às vinhas.
Manu and André chose their closest friends to officiate the ceremony, making it deeply personal and incredibly emotional. I can say with certainty that everyone shed a tear at some point—including me. The moving speeches from loved ones, and the raw emotions made this one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever witnessed.
And, of course, there were a few light-hearted moments too, like when Manu and André realized they had left their vows in the room!
Um momento a sós
After the ceremony, during our couples’ photoshoot, I suggested they bring their vows and read them privately to each other. It was like a second, more intimate ceremony, just the two of them, surrounded by nature. They laughed, cried, kissed, and embraced, and I had the privilege of capturing it all from the front row.
