Love is a magical journey that leads us to moments of pure bliss and everlasting memories. And what better occasion to celebrate love than an engagement party? Recently, I had the privilege of being the photographer at the enchanting engagement party of Inês Brusselmans and Nino Évora, where love, joy, and anticipation filled the air. After 8 years together, they finally decided that it was time to say "I do".
As engagement parties sempre foram uma celebração apreciada, que marca o início desta nova fase na vida do casal. No entanto, em Portugal, este tipo de festas ainda é uma nova tendência a surgir. À medida que os tempos vão mudando, novas ideias vão surgindo e o conceito de engagement parties vai evoluindo.
Inês and Nino engagement party took place on a beautiful summer evening at a breathtaking venue in the heart of the city (Mar d'Sal restaurant, in São Pedro beach in Cascais). The decor was a perfect blend of elegance and romance, with soft, ethereal lighting, delicate floral arrangements, and a touch of whimsy. The venue exuded a warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration of love.
Every aspect of the engagement party was thoughtfully curated to reflect Inês and Nino's unique love story. Kefie Events foi a equipa responsável por organizar a festa. Tendo sido uma equipa que ao longo dos anos tem estado ao lado do casal, a planear os seus aniversários. Por isso, quando chegou o momento de escolher o responsável para garantir que tudo faria sentido neste dia, a Inês e o Nino não precisaram de pensar muito para decidir que a Kefie seria a equipa escolhida.
Toda a decoração esteve a cargo da BC Planning. E o dia ficou ainda mais romântico com os arranjos florais da incomparável Oh Maria Flores. E o "tão saboroso quanto bonito" bolo foi feito pela Mon Sucre, e esta super-equipa de flores e bolos criou um cenário que me deixou sem palavras. Passei muito tempo a fotografar a combinação a que estas ficaram responsáveis.
As the guests arrived, their faces filled with excitement and anticipation, the atmosphere buzzed with laughter and conversation. Inês and Nino, radiating with happiness, welcomed each guest with open arms. Before starting with the welcome drinks, Inês and Nino made sure they took a photo with everyone, as they wanted all their guests to feel part of their day. The scenery chosen to these photos was in front of the beautiful sitting plan made by Pergaminho Design.
One of the highlights of the evening was the series of heartfelt speeches and toasts. The couple decided that on this engagement party, they wanted to invite people to be on their wedding party. Inês' grandmother and Nino's grandfather were asked to be the maid of honor and best man. Everyone got really emotional (me included, obviously. If you know me by now, you know that grandparents are my soft spot), and their grandparents even received a lovely gift as well as this beautiful homage.
Later, they invited some friends to be bridesmaids and grooms men. Laughter, tears, and heartfelt emotions filled the room. It was a testament to the deep impact Inês and Nino had on those around them.
Nenhuma festa está completa sem uma animada pista de dança. O avô do Nino tem uma banda, e tocaram algumas músicas que fizeram todos rodopiar na pista de dança e cantar a o mais alto possível.
As the photographer entrusted with capturing the essence of this special evening, it was an honour to witness the raw emotions and candid moments shared between Inês, Nino, and their loved ones. Every click of the camera captured the genuine smiles, tender glances, and joyous embraces, preserving the memories of this milestone event for years to come. The former Portuguese miss, Inês Brusselmans was wearing a breathtaking jumper from Eva Lendel. E se achavam que este look não podia ficar mais perfeito, Lily Marques e Catarina Duque foram a cereja no topo do bolo para garantir que a Inês estava absolutamente deslumbrante.
