A Dreamy October Affair: The Fox House Wedding in Portugal Resembling Italy's Charm

You may find some similarities in this wedding, it might give you that Deja Vu feeling. Some familiar faces, the same vendors you've seen before. That's right. You might recall Manu and André wedding, from September 2022 in Casa de Vila Verde. In March 2023, I had an email from Ana and Hugo (André's brother) letting me know they were getting married, and they wanted me to photograph their wedding. My response was an immediate big YES!
It was a wedding that felt like home. Not only did I had the chance to see Manu and André again, but to see their family, meet again with some vendors I love to work with, and also Ana and Hugo are the sweetest couple ever, that planned a very chilled day that truly made me feel like a guest.

As you approach The Fox House, the first thing that strikes you is its uncanny resemblance to the quaint charm of Italy. With its whitewashed walls, stone accents, and lush greenery, the venue exudes an authentic Mediterranean vibe. The sprawling grounds, dotted with lots of trees and vibrant flowers, provide an intimate and romantic atmosphere, making it a dream location for couples seeking a destination wedding.

The October wedding ceremony took place in the venue's meticulously manicured garden, framed by the stunning backdrop of the Portuguese countryside and a very beautiful lake. The warm autumn sunlight filtering through the leaves added a golden glow to the proceedings, creating a magical ambiance that perfectly complemented the couple's love story.

The reception area was adorned with Mande Uma Flor's exquisite floral arrangements and Atelier nº Mil 1 out of the box stationery. Table centrepieces featured a mix of local wildflowers and fruits, bringing the rustic elegance of Tuscany to each table.

Capturing the Wedding Moments:
As a wedding photographer it was my role to immortalize every moment, from the couple's first look and private exchange of vows against the breathtaking backdrop to the lively celebration that was very emotional, with speeches from friends and family. To the following party, who left everyone dancing until late hours.

With a playlist tailored to suit the couple's taste and keep the dance floor alive, Music Box created an atmosphere of pure joy. Having worked with them before, it was no surprise that the party was an energetic and vibrant celebration, marking the union of two souls amidst the enchanting surroundings.

The Fox House provided the perfect setting for an October wedding filled with love, enchantment, and the creative touches of By Brava, the infectious beats of DJ Music Box, the beautiful flowers of Mande Uma Flor, the incredible team effort of all the vendors and, of course, the great mood and personality of this amazing couple. From the charming venue to the carefully selected floral arrangements by Mande Uma Flor, every detail contributed to the magic of this unforgettable day.
