Hi, I'm Rita, a wedding photographer based in Lisbon, Portugal. I specialize in destination weddings and elopements.

For the last few years weddings have been my life. I absolutely love to capture wedding days, true to details, filled with candid moments. I pour my heart and soul into capturing the magic of your special day.

But hey, I know what you're thinking: You obviously want your wedding photos, but you're not a model and you don't want to spend your whole wedding day taking photos. Don't worry, I got you!

It’s easy to create a beautiful wedding gallery when everything looks perfect: when everyone is dressed up and the decor is flawless. The challenge is to create a gallery that feels like YOU — one that tells YOUR story, reflects YOUR personality, and captures the essence of YOUR day.

While photography is an important part of your wedding budget, your day isn’t about the photos: it’s about you.

I want you to truly live and enjoy every moment because you’ll only experience it once. I’ll be right there beside you, capturing all the candid and quick moments, ensuring you have a collection of memories to hold onto forever – even the ones you weren’t there to witness.

Photographing a wedding is such an intimate act. It means being by your side, telling the story of your day, of your family, and creating your family’s heirloom. I’m not just your photographer, I’m the person who will spend the most time with you on your wedding day. I’ll remind you to eat, fix your hair, and I’ll probably tear up when you see each other for the first time at the aisle.

My work is for couples who value authenticity. For those who love natural light. And for the couples who are passionate about creating timeless memories for their family heirloom.

I’m not just here to take photographs, I’m here to tell the story of your day in the most genuine and emotional way possible. My documentary meets editorial style, means I capture your wedding as it naturally unfolds while also helping you achieve beautiful, effortless portraits, without stiff or awkward poses. My goal is for you to fully enjoy your day without worrying about posing or timelines.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year because I want to truly know my couples. This connection allows me to create a more personal, meaningful gallery that reflects who you are. I love being close to you, capturing real emotions, without ever being intrusive.

So on your wedding day, don’t worry. None of my couples are models, and I’m very used to working with people who don’t love being photographed at all. All I ask is that you relax and trust me. I’ll guide you through everything, giving you simple actions and gentle direction, never forcing stiff or unnatural poses.

And most importantly, I always want you to be you. If you feel like laughing, do it. If you just want to soak in the moment together, that’s perfect too.

Because I believe my work is at its best when I truly know you, I always encourage investing in an engagement session. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other, break the ice, and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

The main difference between couples who do an engagement session and those who don’t? When I arrive at your getting-ready location on your wedding day, I’m no longer just “your photographer”— I’m Rita. We’ve already had coffee, shared stories, and found things in common. You’re not meeting me for the first time, and you’re already comfortable in front of my lens.

1. First Contact

You've come all this way looking for a wedding photographer in Portugal. The next step is to fill out the form and receive all the infos in your inbox.

Then, we'll book a meeting to finally meet each other, see if we're a good match and if I'm the right photographer for your day. Bring all your questions to this meeting, the big ones and the small ones. I'm happy to answer them all.

2. Make it official

After I make my happy dance because you chose me to witness your day in first hand, let's fill out your contract. Once the contract is signed, and the first payment is done, I'm officially your wedding photographer.

Now, you can just relax until your big day. But I promise I won't disappear. I will check on you from time to time, see if you need any help, or if you want to book your engagement photoshoot!

3. Your wedding day!

The big day is here and my goal is for you to have the best day ever!

Your wedding day is unique, and so are you. I will be with you since you're getting ready, making sure you've eaten and you're not too nervous, to the moment you're leaving your soul on the dance floor.

Rest assured that your photos will be documented with love, in a natural and spontaneous way, in order for you to live your day to the fullest. I will be there capturing your joy, your guests reactions, and of course your love story.

Film photography

If you like the vintage vibe and the imperfect shots, then film photography is for you. I’ll bring 3 films to your wedding and will capture it along side with my digital cameras.

FAQ

Do you always work alone?
I usually work alone. If your wedding has more than 120 guests or you’re getting ready in different locations, that I’ll definitely will recommend adding a second photographer.

Who are your second photographers? Can we choose them?
Rest assure that my second photographers are only professionals from my team, on whom I highly trust and have a similar style to mine. All photos will be edited by me, and once you’ve received your wedding gallery, you won’t be able to tell them apart.

Where are you based?
I’m based in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal. But I will happily meet you anywhere in the world.

Do you also do video?
No, I focus only on the still images of your day, but I’m happy to reccomend you some amazing colleagues.

How many photos will we receive?

I believe that quality > quantity. So it depends on your day, and how I will tell your story. But in average, it’s an average of 700 photos for a 12 hour wedding.

Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, I do! Just let me know where in the world your wedding will happen, and I’m super excited to meet you there.

How is your photography style?
I define my style as documental meets editorial. Meaning that I will always photograph your day as it unfolds, but at the same time I will help you have those beautiful portraits without any stiff poses.

Is there a time limit?
Yes. You can always add extra hours for your wedding package. But to guarantee I’m creative enough, I don’t exceed the 14 hours per wedding.

How is the payment divided?
Your payment will be divided in 3 parcels. One to book your day, the second one on your wedding month, and the last one once I finish editing your wedding photos.
