I first met Nadia and Jordan a few months before their wedding during a video chat, and I instantly fell in love with them. I was so drawn to their kindness, their work in charity and community, and how deeply they care about the world around them. They’ve been together for many years, and there’s something so heartwarming about couples who grow up together, face life’s challenges hand in hand, and still look at each other like they did on day one.
One thing that made me smile right away: Nadia actually found me on TikTok! If you know me, you know I’m a big TikTok user. You could say I'm a little chronically online, I’ll admit. I love sharing my work there, and funny enough, she was the first bride to ever tell me she discovered me through the app. After a long search for wedding photographers in Lisbon, she stumbled upon one of my videos on her For You Page and instantly connected with my work. It’s amazing how social media can create such beautiful, real-life connections, sometimes even leading you to your dream wedding photographer.
Pestana Palace, the perfect place for getting ready
The day started at the stunning Pestana Palace in Lisbon, one of the most elegant hotels in the city. It’s a dream location for a wedding morning. A 19th-century palace surrounded by gardens, this hotel is centred right in the heart of Lisbon. Conveniently close to some of the best Lisbon wedding venues, but as well as the centre, making it a perfect place for your guests to stay on your wedding day, and enjoy the next day to visit Lisbon.
Every corner of this hotel feels cinematic, with soft natural light pouring through the windows and historic charm in every detail.
The groom got ready with his groomsmen, while the bride prepared in another suite surrounded by her mother, bridesmaids, and the couple’s adorable daughter. The room was filled with laughter, anticipation, and that pre-ceremony energy that always makes my heart race a little.
Hair and makeup for the bride and bridesmaids were done by Makeup Algarve Wedding, while the bride’s makeup was perfected by their good friend Shireen Kadhim, a lovely personal touch that made everything even more special.
The groom wore a timeless suit from Suits Supply, complete with a wristwatch that once belonged to his late grandfather. I still remember him telling me it wasn’t worth much, but I could feel how priceless it truly was to him. The bride wore a stunning minimalist gown from The Own Studio, elegant in every way, paired with a breathtaking floral veil that looked like it was blooming in motion. Her Jimmy Choo shoes added the perfect touch of sophistication.
The Ceremony at Vandelli Botanical Garden
The ceremony took place at the Vandelli Botanical Garden, one of Lisbon’s most enchanting wedding venues. It’s a true hidden gem in the city, filled with exotic plants, romantic paths, and a timeless beauty. The greenhouse, where Nadia and Jordan exchanged vows, looked straight out of a dream. Surrounded by vibrant blooms designed by GreenPic'k, it felt like stepping into a living painting in a winter garden: colorful, natural, and full of life.
A wedding at Vandelli Botanical Garden is always something special. The garden itself carries a sense of history and wonder. You’re surrounded by nature’s beauty but still in the heart of the city, the perfect mix for couples who want an elegant yet organic setting for their celebration. The light filtering through the trees, the textures of the plants, and the calm atmosphere make it an absolute dream for photography. Every frame feels alive and deeply romantic.
This place also holds a very special meaning for me ! It’s actually where I got married back in 2024. Coming back as a wedding photographer was such a full-circle moment. Seeing the Vandelli Botanical Garden through my professional eyes this time, capturing someone else’s love story in the same space where I lived mine, was honestly magical.
The Celebration
Avana London created all the stationery, beautifully tying together the couple’s elegant and modern aesthetic.
Dinner was served by Food Story, the venue’s associated catering. And let me tell you, their food never disappoints. Each dish felt like something out of a Michelin-star restaurant, perfectly plated and absolutely delicious.
The party was brought to life by Your Jukebox, who made sure everyone danced until the early hours of the morning. There’s something so joyful about seeing a room full of people celebrating love with pure happiness.
Nadia and Jordan also added my film photography add-on, which brought such an authentic, nostalgic touch to their wedding gallery. I absolutely love how film captures emotion. The grain, the colours, the softness, it all added another layer of depth to their story.
