10 households, 10 families.
Rita Ferro Alvim shared the challenge #RetratosÀPorta, that literally translates to Portraits at the doorway. This initiative was to photograph families for free on this Mother’s Day that’s so different than usual. I’m so grateful for this initiative. It gave me the possibility to meet incredible people, and hear a lot of kind words that replaced the hugs. I’m so happy. So tired, but so happy. My heart is full.
I’ve met some incredible neighbors, some even live on my street. I created a connection with them and realized that my hometown still has such incredible people. And to see how these families were spending this different Mother’s Day was incredible, how they could innovate and celebrate regardless of all the restrictions.
The day was super hot, I was wearing my mask and I could not hug these people, as I wanted to. But it was one of my favorite days of 2020.
Of course, I ended the day vising my mother and my mother-in-law. I hadn’t see them in two months, it was great to surprise them and see their faces again.
I want to thank Rita Ferro Alvim for this initiative and to all the families who were super nice, easy-going and made me feel super safe.
